AI Regulation in Practice: Expert Discussion by Digital Council and CTU on the Practical Implications of the AI Act

The session brought together representatives from business, public administration, and regulatory institutions for an open and highly substantive discussion. Participants actively contributed throughout the event, sharing concrete implementation experiences and offering diverse perspectives on AI system classification, the high-risk regime, governance models, and compliance processes.
A particularly strong focus was placed on the correct classification of AI systems, which in practice is proving to be one of the most critical prerequisites for setting up an effective compliance framework. The discussion also reaffirmed the importance of the risk-based approach that underpins the European AI regulatory model.
We would like to sincerely thank all participants for their active and constructive engagement, which significantly contributed to the high professional quality of the discussion.
Our thanks also go to the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic for providing the excellent venue that gave the event a highly professional and representative setting.
Given the very positive feedback and level of engagement, we look forward to continuing this discussion in future Digital Council events.
