In its third edition, the program Prague Digital Council focused on digital policy in the context of post-elections in the EU and US, including priorities of the new European Parliament and European Commission, and impact of presidential elections in the US.
A new European Parliament and European Commission underway, coupled with the US presidential election in early November poses the question - is the global digital policy landscape headed for significant transformation as the two sides of the Atlantic will be faced with leadership changes and political shifts? The third edition of the annual Prague Digital Council will touch on the outcomes of these elections and their impact on EU and transatlantic digital policies, the anticipated regulatory priorities for the next four to five years, as well as opportunities for private-public cooperation.
The event will aim to gather a diverse group of policymakers (from national and EU levels) and representatives from academia and business to discuss the most pressing topics in the post-election digital economy. The event will consist of a keynote speech, followed by a discussion panel. The official part will then be followed by a reception for panelists and key stakeholders involved in digital policies, and also be open to participants of other events during Digital Week.
